Access
Disabled Access
Both surgeries have consultation rooms on different floors. If you have mobility issues, please mention this to Reception at the time of booking your appointment so that a suitable consultation room can be made available for you.
Purley Surgery
There is level access for wheelchairs, prams and pushchairs from the patients' car park. There is also a patient lift towards the rear of the building that can be used to access the basement floor consultation rooms.
Coulsdon Surgery
Wheelchair and pushchair access is via the side entrance to the surgery.
Partially-Sighted Patients
Both surgeries have a visual patient call-system for appointments. If you are partially-sighted and have any problems reading our call system, please mention this to Reception and they will ensure you are personally called for your appointment.
Hearing-Impaired Patients
We have a portable hearing loop at both our Purley and Coulsdon surgeries. If you would like to use this in your consultation, please ask at Reception.
We understand that some patients are unable to phone the surgery, therefore, we have set up an email address for these patients to contact the surgery on. Patients, who would like to request access to this service, should complete the Generic Email Agreement Form and return it to Reception. We also have a text messaging service available, which is used for the appointment information, including cancellations. If you would like to have access to this service, please submit your details here.
Interpretation
We can arrange interpretation and translation services in person or by telephone for patients who do not speak English. Please give us advance notice when booking an appointment if you know you will need this service.
Parking
Purley Surgery
There is a patients' car park at our Purley surgery which can be accessed via Plough Lane. Patients are advised that it is also free to park along Plough Lane apart from between 1pm and 2pm when the council's parking restrictions apply.
Coulsdon Surgery
There is no specified parking area at our Coulsdon surgery. There are, however, both pay and display parking bays on the main road (80p per half hour) and there is free parking available in neighbouring roads and further down the Chipstead Valley Road.
