Stress Awareness Month

April is Stress Awareness Month. Stress is a significant factor in mental health problems including anxiety and depression. It is also linked to physical health problems like heart disease, problems with our immune system, insomnia and digestive problems.

What can you do to manage stress? Keep active, connect with others, prioritise tasks, engage with nature, do something pleasurable, ask for help.

Croydon Talking Therapies offers a wide range of support for managing stress from online workbooks to one to one therapy sessions. Sessions can he held on the phone, via video or face to face at offices in Central Croydon or at the Bethlem Royal Hospital. Don’t forget that there are a small amount of therapy appointments available after hours for those who may not be able to attend in working hours. Interpreters for all sessions can also be arranged.

If you are feeling stressed, you can self-refer here: https://croydontalkingtherapies.nhs.uk/ and you will be able to choose a time to suit for your triage assessment call.
