Local Support
You are classed as an unpaid carer if you support a family member or friend who is ill, disabled, elderly, has poor mental health issues or misuses substances. The support you offer may be emotional or include shopping, cooking, dealing with medication or attending medical appointment with the person that you care for. The person you care for could live with you, in their own home, or in a residential care home.
If you provide care for someone, please let us know as we can add you to our practice "carer register" and provide you with access to information and support. Once you have registered, our Carers Champion Yasmina, will be in touch with further information.

Carers Trust
Carers Trust is a major charity for, with and about carers. They work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. Their vision is that unpaid carers count and can access the help they need to live their lives.
