Tests and Results
How and when to obtain test results from the surgery
The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
Most results are received electronically and need to be reviewed by the doctor before they are relayed to you. We will only contact you if the results of a blood test, x-ray or other test is abnormal and you require treatment or further investigations. You will not be contacted if your result is normal.
How to review your test results
Please use the NHS App to view your test results. Please allow 7 working days for blood results and 10 to 14 working days for scans/X-rays results.
If you have any queries or are unable to view your results online, please contact us online.
Samples
If the doctor or nurse has asked you to provide a pathology sample such as urine, stool, sputum, these must be left at reception before 11am, Monday to Friday.
